NEIL H. DAVIS

At the age of 13, I began my interest in photography, and since then, I learned how to use a simple small digital camera and worked my experience up to DLSR Cameras. From High School through College, I learned to utilize my skills in any environment and found a way to compose images and tell pictorial stories through each photograph.

At the age of 13, I began my interest in photography, and since then, I learned how to use a simple small digital camera and worked my experience up to DLSR Cameras. From High School through College, I learned to utilize my skills in any environment and found a way to compose images and tell pictorial stories through each photograph.

During college at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, I majored in graphic design and began to create more impactful storytelling through my lens. Throughout my 4 years in college, I joined the school’s newspaper called The Rider News as a news photographer. I had a part-time job as a sports photographer at Rider University’s Sports Information Office.

I had two internships where I interned at Atlantic weekly in Atlantic City, New Jersey. There, I was entrusted to create advertisements for many of ACW's clients. I also interned at company called Alkemy-X, which is a production company specializing in filming commercials, shows, and movies in Philadelphia, PA. During my internship, I focused on learning and experimenting with various media tools to assist in their many projects and client needs.

After graduating from Rider University, I was hired as a graphic designer and photographer for Double R Designs in Haddonfield, NJ. I designed logos and advertisements as well as taking photographs to create advertisements for various projects. I was also as a campaign photographer for Joshua Welle, who was running for a seat in congress in the 4th district of New Jersey in 2018. I was tasked with photographing Mr. Welle’s and attending his events where he gave public speeches and appeared in meet in greets at people's homes that were supporters of Mr.Welle.

I recently joined my father's company Davis Enterprises located in Marlton, NJ. I am the Visual Media Coordinator in the marketing department. I photograph and post online content for community properties and the company's social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. This is a great opportunity to not only help grow my father's business, but to understand the impact of social media in todays climate. I am also responsible for documenting various events and construction updates to communicate with both the residents and the people in Marlton.

At the same time, I was hired as a freelance photographer for Food-Shelter PR in Philadelphia, Pa, to photograph food and beverages based on clients menu’s and various events. The Public Relations firm helped me grow in creating ideas for clients' food and unique images to advertise on their social media pages.

One of my most significant accomplishments was a photograph I captured during the Philadelphia Eagles post-Super Bowl victory. I drove into Philadelphia after the win and snapped an image of two men recreating Michelangelo’s famous painting "The Creation of Adam,” I gave it my own title, "The Creation of The Super Bowl Champs." It became a viral sensation on the internet, and made me hungry to capture more moments like the Super Bowl.

I emailed every newspaper and media company to offer my services to photograph significant upcoming events in Philadelphia and my hometown.

All of my work experiences, education, and internships have fueled my desire to be involved in the creative storytelling that photography has to offer. I have a strong willingness to learn from those with more experience and I am eager to share my images with people.

I am currently taking a continuing education class at the esteemed University of the Arts in Philadelphia in digital media and marketing techniques. This has proven to be helpful in my current position. One can never have too much education.

I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Digital Photography, Digital Videography, Final Cut Pro X, Lighting Techniques, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Photo Editing and Video Editing.
